How Do I Add Content to My Playlist(s)?

Now that you have organized all your images and videos in your Media Folder, you can start adding content into your Playlists by directly uploading images and videos, from connected social media accounts, and from your Media Folders. 

Playlists are a way for you to create digital signage campaigns with a collection of relevant content. You can create a Standard Playlist or a Dynamic Playlist. 

(Skip Part A if you already created a Playlist and proceed to Part B on how to add content to your Playlist)

A. Create Your Playlist(s)

Create a Playlist

1. To create a playlist, go to the 'Content' tab, click 'Playlists', then click the 'Add Playlist' button.

2. Then select your Playlist type:

• Standard Playlist - lets you add content from your computer, media folders, or connected social media sites that can be organized as needed
• Dynamic Playlist - connects to Dropbox and populates your playlist based on how your content is organized on your Dropbox account. You will need to connect to your Dropbox account to setup your Dynamic Playlist. Note, Dynamic Playlists are indicated with Dropbox icon on the top right corner of the playlist folder.

B. Adding Content to Your Playlist(s)

Directly Add Content into Your Playlist(s)

1. Go to the 'Content' tab, click on the 'Playlists' tab, then select your Playlist folder.

2. On your Playlist folder, select 'Add Content', then 'From my Computer', and select the images, photos, or videos you want directly uploaded into your Playlist. 

Add Social Media Content into Your Playlist(s)

1. Go to the 'Content' tab, click on the 'Playlists' tab, then select your Playlist folder.

2. On your Playlist folder, select 'Add Content', then 'From my Social Media'

3. Connect to your Social Media accounts by logging in and following instructions, where applicable.

4. Select the images or photos from your Social Media to add into your Playlist.

Add Content from Your Media Folder(s)

1. Go to the 'Content' tab, click on the 'Playlists' tab, then select your Playlist folder.

2. On your Playlist folder, select 'Add Content', then 'From my Nixplay Cloud'

3. Click on the Media Folder and select the content you want added to the playlist

Notes on Standard Playlists: 

• Images can be added from your Desktop, Media Folder(s), and social network account(s).
• Videos can be added from your Media Folder(s), or Desktop only.

C. Set Your Playlist(s) Duration and Transitions

Set Your Playlist Duration Time

For both standard and dynamic playlists, you can also set display times of each photo. Enter the desired duration for each photo in 'Display each photo for' and click the 'Set' button. This will set all the photos to the same duration.

You can also change the duration for each individual content by clicking on the 'Pen' icon under each thumbnail.

Set Your Playlist Transition

After adjusting the duration, select the transition you want using the dropdown menu (located near to the time duration feature).
